This online help page is dedicated to the SurgeONE Set Password screen and its associated functionalities.
1. Receive Invitation Email
This email informs the user that the account setup process is initiated by the administrator. It acts as a clear entry point, guiding the user to access SurgeONE without needing to manually request access or any follow-up. This streamlines the onboarding experience, saves time, and ensures a smoother start with the SurgeONE application.
You will receive an invitation email (in your SurgeONE registered email address) which is triggered by the system after the administrator or any user with Company/Branch Admin priviliges creates your user account and sends you an invite in SurgeONE.

2. Set Password
This Set Your Password page provides essential value to users by enabling them to securely establish access to their account. It allows them to choose a password that is both secure and memorable. This step marks a key milestone in the onboarding process, signaling that their account is ready for use. Additionally, it supports best practices in account accessibility and data protection by encouraging strong password creation, ultimately contributing to a safer and more user-friendly experience.
- Click on the Setup Your Account button or SurgeONE account link will be here link of the received invitation email to get redirected to the SurgeONE password setting page. The password that is set here is used to login into your account in future.
- There are certain conditions for the password to be accepted by the system, as follows:
- At least one lowercase letter
- At least one uppercase letter
- At least one number
- At least one symbol. Supported symbols are ! (exclamation mark), @ (at the rate), # (hash), $ (dollar), % (percentage), ^ (exponent), & (ampersand), * (star/multiplication)
- Minimum 8 characters password length
Enter suitable password in the New Password field. As you proceed to enter your password, any satisfied password condition shows a green tick icon prior on its label. You must enter a password that satisfies all of the conditions. Also, a progress bar can be seen below this field. It indicates whether the password is a strong, secure one or a weak, easy to decipher one. - Enter suitable matching password in the Confirm Password field. The passwords must be valid and matching to proceed to save the password. A label can be seen below this field displaying Passwords match text in green colored font.
- Click on the Set Password button after entering desired passwords.
- After setting your password successfully for the first time, you get redirected to the (SurgeONE Firm Setup / Onboarding) Business Details page only if you are the first user of the firm / organization. Once the onboarding is completed, user gets logged out automatically, as shown in the below image.
- And if your firm or organization onboarding is completed, after successfully setting the password for the first time, used gets logged out of the session and gets redirected to the SurgeONE login page. User needs to enter the newly set password to re-login into the application. You get navigated to the SurgeONE Dashboard. The visibility of the elements of the SurgeONE Dashboard, as well as the page visibility itself, depend on the permissions granted to the role the user belongs to.

There are two fields labeled as New Password and Confirm Password. You must enter valid password to authenticate your user account. The password that is set here is used to login into your account in future.

It is advised to keep a strong password which fills up the entirety of this progress bar.

NOTE:
- MFA is not enabled for any user who is yet to set own password and login to the SurgeONE platform.

As you begin to enter password in the New Password field, a green tick
icon can be seen beside the password setting related satisfied condition, at the right side of the field.

On the New Password field or on the Confirm Password field, an eye
icon can be seen at the right side within the field. Click on the eye
icon to reveal the entered password by changing the display type from masked to legible text. The eye icon changes to the slashed eye icon. Click again on the slashed eye
icon to mask the entered password. The icon changes back to
.
- The Set Password button is initially disabled on page load. It remains disabled unless both password match and satisfy all the conditions.
- Enter suitable matching password in the Confirm Password field. The passwords must be valid and matching to proceed to save the password. A label can be seen below this field displaying Passwords match text in green colored font.
- The Set Password button gets enabled only after you enter valid and matching passwords in the New Password and Confirm Password fields, and also all the stipulated conditions to set a new password are met.
- The following error label gets prompted if the entered password and confirmed password are not the exact same. You must correct it by entering valid and matching passwords in these two fields.
- You can click on the Privacy Policy option of the password setting page to navigate to the privacy policy details page of the SurgeONE website. As you hover your mouse point over this option, the hyperlink URL can be seen at the bottom-left of your browser.
- You can click on the Get Help option at the bottom-left of the password setting page to open the related online user guide document for this page.
